LOS ANGELES, Mar 29, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Vertical Computer Systems, Inc. (OTC:VCSY) announced today the official release date for the launch of its second multi-lingual / multi-national portal - theBrazilBridge.com will be April 22, 2000. The Portuguese language portal will offer Brazilian web surfers a proprietary internet search engine written with Vertical Computer System's proprietary MLE (Emily) Markup Language Executive, free e-mail, electronic shopping, online chat, news, sports, online radio and a business center. This search engine will incorporate multiple web crawlers to keep the site up-to-date, and will include the ability to suggest URLs and categories. The site will recognize returning visitors and allow them to continuously customize their search options and strategies. In addition to performing HTML-based queries, the Brazil Bridge will be XML enabled, allowing XML parsers, such as the Emily program or other standard parsers, to make queries and obtain the results in XML format. This provides a unique and powerful programmatic interface to the search engine.
